Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for importers, distributors, and retailers sourcing specialty Caribbean food products.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQs vary by SKU. Hot sauces are typically 24 cases (288 bottles) and jerk seasoning paste 12 cases (288 jars); spices and flour run in 25–100 lb minimums per SKU. Share-container consolidation is available — combining mixed SKUs (hot sauces, jerk seasonings, tropical purees) lets buyers below per-SKU MOQs split a single container and lower their effective minimum.

What payment terms do you accept?

We accept LC (Letter of Credit), TT (wire transfer), and Net 30 for established accounts with a documented trade history. New buyers typically start on LC at sight or a 30% TT deposit with the balance against shipping documents. Payment terms are confirmed on every quote.

Which shipping incoterms do you offer?

FOB (Free on Board) — we deliver goods to the named origin port; you arrange ocean freight and insurance. CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) — we cover inland freight, ocean freight, and marine insurance to your named destination port. Both options include complete customs export documentation.

What food-safety and quality certifications do your products carry?

Our products are sourced from HACCP-compliant manufacturing facilities. SKUs shipping into the United States come from FDA-registered facilities and are accompanied by the standard FSVP / Prior Notice documentation. Organic, halal, kosher, and other certifications are available on a per-SKU basis — request specific certifications in your inquiry.

What is your sample policy?

Sample packs are available for a small fee, credited in full against your first purchase order. The buyer covers inbound shipping (DHL, FedEx, or your preferred courier). Submit a sample request via the inquiry form with "Sample pack inquiry" in the message field and we will quote turn-around time and shipping options.

What are your typical lead times?

For shelf-stable SKUs (bottled sauces, jars, dry spices, pouches, canned goods), production runs are 2–4 weeks after purchase order confirmation, plus 3–6 weeks ocean transit depending on the destination port. CIF quotes include a complete door-to-port timeline; FOB quotes include production + origin delivery timeline.

What customs and export documentation do you provide?

Every shipment is supplied with a commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. Where the destination requires them, we add phytosanitary certificates (plant-origin SKUs), health/free-sale certificates (food-grade SKUs), and FDA Prior Notice for US-bound shipments. Harmonized System (HS) codes are listed for every SKU so your customs broker can clear the shipment on arrival.

Can you consolidate mixed SKUs into one container?

Yes — full-container consolidation and shared LCL (less-than-container-load) options are both available. We frequently consolidate across hot sauces, jerk seasonings, spices, coconut products, and tropical purees so buyers can mix categories in a single shipment. Mixed-category consolidation keeps per-unit freight costs down for smaller orders and lets new buyers start with a lower commitment per SKU.
